A few weeks ago my sister, friend and I decided to go no meat vegetarian for a week. This all started after watching What the Health and we opened Pandora’s Box. Of course , we always knew things like that meat comes from animals and dairy comes from cows and goats. Well…. we know these things, but I don’t… Read more →
Today, I’m trying out the Rocksbox. It is a monthly jewelry service, that will send you three pieces specific to your taste. You do take a quick quiz , so they get to know your style. When I first read that the clothing was made of hemp and recycled material, I was very skeptical. I thought ” Cool concept but the clothing will probably feel weird or not fit right on the body. ” I was imagining scratchy hemp rope that looked pretty. Then my clothing arrived and my thoughts couldn’t have been further from the truth. I tried on the Petra Top in Lacquered Rose that feels like buttah (butter) on your skin. I am so in love with the shade of this shirt. It’s light and airy, which feels amazing in the hot humid summers we experience in the south. The shirt also has a beautiful sewn lace insets that have a design of x’s and o’s. The Petra Top is made of 60% Organic Cotton and 40% Recycled Polyester and feels wonderful . After putting the shirt on, my daughter said I looked beautiful and started rubbing hands on it, to feel the soft texture. We also did some dancing and snuggles , to see how it moved and my daughter’s thoughts. She kid approved it! Another, thing I loved about the Petra is that the back of the shirt was a few inches longer than the front. This is great when having little kids, since I’m always bending and reaching for things and I don’t want to have to worry about pulling and tugging on my shirt all of the time. I was also able to wear this shirt with or without an undershirt. Needless to say prAna has a new fan.
Next, I tried the Milou Bottom in Supernova Pinwheel. It has fun shapes and shades of color that include pinks, purples, blues, and black. It is
made of 78% recycled polyester and 22% xtra-life lycra. It also contains 50+ UPF. Good to know, my bums covered. lol. The Milou fits nicely and has a soft lining that covers the entire inside of the bathing suit bottom. I’ve never had a bottom that included it and I have to say , that it feels pretty awesome. I’ve also had two c-sections and I love the fact that the mid rise Milou Bottom covered that up . As you can see in my photos, I had a lot of fun moving around in them. prAna also offers different styled tops that would go with these bottoms, so you are not limited in style. Or if you liked the colors but not a full on bikini , they offer tankinis and one-pieces too.
What I learned from prAna , was not only do they provide excellent clothing for an everyday and active lifestyle, but that they help provide a better future for ourselves and others. Yes, it just got real. Before , I had kids I recycled and wasn’t a litter bug. Doing these things , I really felt like I was doing my part. After having my girls the whole thing changed. I worried about what chemicals I used around the house, where our food came from, and from time to time where our clothes came from. I love what prAna has done and what they are doing for so many others. Below I have posted more photos of their lovely clothing and information about prAna, so you can see all the good they have to offer. My one year old really enjoyed the Go & Grow by Similac Pouches and so did my 3 1/2 year old. Heck , with all the good stuff that’s in the Go & Grow by Similac Pouches and the fact that they taste yummy, I would eat these. I mean, organic fruit and veggie purée, non-GMO, no fillers , no artificial flavors or colors , and gluten free. You want the best for your kids and this has a lot of the good stuff they need . It gives them the Go they need and also what they need to Grow, with fruits and veggies.
The only downside of the Go & Grow by Similac Pouches is how liquidy it is. Of course it should , because it’s a purée . Well, my daughter doesn’t like being fed things and with every squeeze of a Go & Grow by Similac Pouch , it was like a volcano exploding. Lol . It was a little messy but my 1 year old liked it.
You can find the Go & Grow pouches at your local Walmart or at this link – https://www.walmart.com/search/?query=%22Go%20%26%20Grow%20by%20Similac%20Pouch%22
Next, we tried the Go & Grow Toddler Drink. I had my 3 1/2 year old try this and she really enjoyed. We picked up the flavor Vanilla and it tastes like a vanilla milkshake. I asked her for a photo and she had too much fun, with her drink.
The Go & Grow Toddler Drink provides OptiGRO to support brain and eye development , which includes DHA, Lutein and Vitamin E. It’s a little high on the sugar at 16g, but technically no higher than anything else on the market. Also, this is for 2 convenient powder singles and making up an 8oz beverage. On the other hand it’s packed with tons of vitamins and minerals that I know my daughter isn’t getting from the peanut butter and jelly’s shes always requesting.
The Go & Grow Toddler Drink can also be found at Walmart and at this link – https://www.walmart.com/search/?query=go%20and%20grow%20by%20similac%20toddler%20drink

Living on a budget can tighten the reigns on your wallet , but it can also kick your creativity into high gear. Showing you tons of possibilities for your clothes , that you may not have otherwise thought of. This light blue denim shirt dress was $15 and a great staple for my closet and many seasons . The dress offers a button on the sleeves, so you can roll them up during warmer weather and down during the colder weather.
Outfit 1- I paired the dress with cute shimmery sea foam flats, a thin gold belt , and added a lovely large sparkling necklace .
Outfit 2 – Here I paired the dress with some fun wedge sandals and the thin gold belt . I was feeling sassy wearing heels . It’s been awhile . Lol .
Outfit 4- Here I just added a long printed sweater. My look is a little disheveled but with two little ones, that’s how I look most of the time, trying to get out the door. 😁
Outfit 5-I switched out the long sweater for sweater blazer and added the belt over the top , for a dresser look. I then switched my leggings to black and finished the look with brown ankle boots .
Outfit 6- Here I just switched out the belt for a dark brown wide belt . Another dressy look, but it gives the outfit a little something extra.
I love how one item can be so versatile . I could have kept going , changing out shoes, leggings, sweaters , and accessories .
What is your clothing piece of many disguises ? I would love to see the combos , you come up with.

I was given the opportunity to try and test out 1960 ny Capsule CC cream. This was an interesting product . It is a watery jelly like substance, cool to the touch with beads of color in it. The instructions say to apply a sunscreen before applying the product. As you apply the CC Cream to your face the beads… Read more →
Today I reviewed and did a video demo on the Covergirl Quad in Notice Me Nudes 700. I was really impressed by how pigmented all the shades were. I enjoyed the fact that for a beginner to makeup, the shades were all laid out. Or if you are a busy person and need something that’s a quick go to. You can… Read more →
