DIY- Let’s get pretty and polished on a Sunday afternoon

It’s Sunday afternoon of sweet relaxation . So, why not get some beautication going on !?!  Let’s get rid of that dead dry skin !

First , I did an easy lip scrub with brown sugar and honey , to scrub those dead cells away . Sugar is a great exfoliant. Honey is full of antibiotics and extremely moisturizing.

How to- add 1 teaspoon sugar to 1/4 teaspoon of honey. Apply to lips and scrub vigorously for 30 seconds and then let sit for 1 min. Wipe off with wet warm cloth,  then apply a lip balm.

Next I decided to do an easy face scrub with sugar and coconut oil. I used Kopari coconut  oil but you can use any organic coconut oil that at the grocery store . It’s naturally antibacterial and antifungal, coconut oil for skin is an excellent moisturizer.

How to- warm a tablespoon of coconut oil in a microwaveable safe bowl until melted .  In the microwave it should only takes a few seconds . Mix in a tablespoon of sugar . I used organic raw, but you can use whatever you have like white or brown sugar.

Apply and rub lightly over face. Avoid eyes.  Rub for 30 seconds and then let sit a minute or two. Wipe off with warm wet cloth and feel that baby smooth skin.

Voila! Feels so good and your skin will look better too . IMG_2702

I did attempt to use green tea bags to help reduce my allergy / tired puffy eyes but it was a no-go . My 1 year thought they were toys and wanted to take them off and eat them . While , my 3 year old would put them back on on. Needless to say, they stayed on half the time they should have and it didn’t make a difference. I just ended up with funny pictures . Lol

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!
